【摘要】:Columncrushtestsprovideinformationaboutthecrushingpropertiesofblownthermoplasticcontainerswhenemployedunderconditionsapproximatingthoseunderwhichthetestsaremade.Thecolumncrushpropertiesincludethecrushingyieldload,deflectionatcrushingyieldload,crushingloadatfailure,andapparentcrushingstiffness.Blownthermoplasticcontainersmadefrommaterialsthatpossessaloworderofductilitymayfailincrushingbybrittlefracture.Insuchcases,thecrushingyieldloadisequivalenttothecrushingloadatfailure.Blownthermoplasticcontainersmadeofductilematerialsmaynotexhibitacrushingloadatfailurealthoughtheywillnormallyprovideacrushingyieldloadvalue.Columncrushtestsprovideastandardmethodofobtainingdataforresearchanddevelopment,applications,design,qualitycontrol,acceptanceorrejectionunderspecifications,andspecialpurposes.Thetestscannotbeconsideredsignificantforengineeringdesigninapplicationsdifferingwidelyfromtheload-timescaleofthestandardtest.Suchapplicationsrequireadditionaltestssuchasimpact,creep,andfatigue.Beforeproceedingwiththistestmethod,referenceshouldbemadetothespecificationofthematerialbeingtested.Anytestspecimenpreparation,conditioning,dimensions,ortestingparameters,orcombinationthereof,coveredinthematerialsspecificationshalltakeprecedenceoverthosementionedinthistestmethod.Iftherearenomaterialspecifications,thenthedefaultconditionsapply.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofmechanicalpropertiesofblownthermoplasticcontainerswhenloadedundercolumnarcrushconditionsataconstantrateofcompressivedeflection.Anycontainer,whetherblowncommerciallyorinthelaboratory,maybeusedasthetestspecimen.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Note18212;ThereisnosimilarorequivalentISOstandard.1.3hisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
